Through the "Improving Milk Quality” project Dairy KABI has benefited by installing new technologies in the facility, certification of products according to HACCP standards, setting up a marketing department to implement marketing strategies, establishing a new network of farmers with 150 young farmers, equipping farmers with milking machines.

Through the implementation of the project Camel Company in collaboration with the project stakeholders such as farmers, the Department of Agriculture and the Local Action Group has achieved the following results: renovation of the facility, new machinery for the production of biscuits and flips, new employees in the company, introduction to HACCP, sub-granting of corn and wheat farmers, training of 100 farmers and marketing plan to increase market share.

The main goal of the project "Quality Improvement in Meat Processing Industry": to improve the quality of products and presentation to achieve EU standards and requirements. Project results: introduction of new technologies related to product processing, hygiene and quality, improvement of marketing channels with emphasis on the local / international market, improving the marketing structure, providing employment opportunities for vulnerable groups and the unemployed through engagement in agricultural and rural development.

Through this project, Luli Company has increased its processing capacities, implying the increase of the number of staff in the processing sector. Minorities and women are the categories that are given priority in employment. The rural community and consumers of the Eastern Economic Region of Kosovo who will be offered the final product (sausage, fresh meat, smoked meat, etc.) with quality in line with EU standards are the final beneficiaries.

Through this project Uka Saraj improved the meat processing sector and thus contributed to the economic development of Hani i Elezit. Minorities, the rural community, consumers of the southeastern economic region are the main beneficiaries of the project and products offered by Uka Saraj. With the implementation of this project, Uka Saraj improved the market channel through the adaptation of new technologies and the improvement of product quality through the introduction and certification with HACCP standards.

"Improving the quality of wine in the Old Cellar" is a project through which the company has improved the quality and food safety standards of wine production. The project was implemented in the Rahovec region and targeted grape farmers, retailers and wine consumers. Successful implementation has been achieved through the modernization of production technologies, the increase of land use efficiency through training and sub-granting, as well as the application of HACCP safety standards.

"Development of tourism capacity in the Eastern Region of Kosovo" is a project that has implemented activities for the direct improvement of rural tourism capacity through diversification of products and services. The project has improved rural tourism infrastructure by diversifying farm activities and expanding food services and improving the food supply chain. The project has resulted in improved business practices and general living conditions for the rural community, local producers as well as fruit and plant collectors.

The Enterprise Network Development Initiative - ENDI is a project focused on improving the meat processing industry through the establishment of a network among poultry farmers. Specifically, the project has introduced new technologies in the meat processing industry, which in turn have enabled improvements in product quality and packaging. This action focuses on diversifying M6 Products, increasing output, income and employment, by expanding production facilities to include fresh, cleaned, blanched potato wedges for the local market. The action aimed at improving resource efficiency and utilizing climate resilient energy sources as well as reducing operating costs with solar energy systems for all M6production facilities. The project contributed to improvement of the capacity of local potato farmers who source to M6 by providing technical training on the use of pesticides and fertilizers and by issuing small grants to be used to purchase fertilizers in line with EU standards. Engaging technical expertise needed to obtain ISO and HACCP standard certification increases M6 export market potential to CEFTA countries and improves quality standards of potato products by.

Implementation of the “Enhancing rural tourism, recreation and quality farming in Novo Brdo project” by Villa Lura directly increased the well-being of Novoberdo’s citizens and the tourism value of the municipality. The project has impacted the increase of the quality of products and services offered by Villa Lura. Furthermore, the project ensured engagement of local farmers by offering trainings on agriculture. During the implementation Villa Lura has utilized environmentally friendly equipment through solar electricity contributing in decrease in demand on the local power grid, upgraded on site compost for recycling organic material and other eco-friendly interventions.

The overall objective of this action is to develop Kabi capacity for diversified production of dairy products in an environmentally sustainable manner. Purchasing and installation of a new product line that enhances competitiveness through product diversification and new employees contribute to capacity building within Kabi facilities by diversifying production including sliced white cheese and by-products such as cream cheese and kashkaval cheese. Upgrading the dairy plant with the view to improve the protection of the environment by instalment of equipment for treatment and disposal of waste/wastewater reduces the dependence on non-renewable electricity by integrating anaerobic digestion for biogas production for all electricity needs. Active participation of the farmers on training programs in increasing quality and quantity of the raw milk and practical part of the training on selected farms improves the capacity of local dairy farmers and reduces environmental impact through training on quality production, manure storage and waste management with comprehensive manual. Through this project the company improved market penetration and market share by decreasing dependence on import markets for provision of diversified cheese products and introducing new locally produced options.

“Development of rural areas in centre region of Kosovo” project seeks to increase competitiveness of domestic agro- products. The overall objective of this action is increasing contribution of agricultural and rural development sector to the economic growth in Kosovo. The action's specific objectives are: Improving food safety standards through applying advanced technology; Development of local agricultural products and empowering milk producers through improved farmers network; Building integrated energy efficiency program through installation of energy efficient systems and facilities. The results achieved through the project are numerous such as increased production and processing capacities, improved packaging technology and increased life duration of dairy products, farmers' network, decreased operational cost in milk processing plants through installing solar plants.

Through the implementation of this project, Planet Resort has increased economic activities in rural areas by promoting recreational activities and rural tourism while ensuring women and minority inclusion. The project specific objectives include diversifying the recreational activities by establishing a number of new facilities, improving environment protection and efficient use of natural resources, promoting rural tourism and ensuring women and minority inclusion by employing local, rural community in tourism and service activities.

The action’s main objective is to increase competitiveness and to expand into the international market by modernizing the existing machinery. To expand into the international market, the company increased its wine production capacity and quality and storage capacity through the installation of new equipment and a new storage unit. Through the project a vertical cooperation was set up with a number of grape producing farmers and new employees have been employed. The project has a larger impact through increasing Kosovo's export rate and has a positive impact on the rural area's living standard and promotes women empowerment.

Implementing the “Development of agro-rural infrastructure through the establishment of an environmentally-friendly livestock market while supporting women’s participation” action enabled the establishment of a livestock market outfitted with all necessary equipment and utilities while incorporating animal welfare, hygiene standards and environmentally-friendly practices. This livestock market will be the first of its kind in Kosovo, promoting best practices towards livestock markets. To ensure full functionality of the standardized livestock market, a veterinary ambulance is incorporated at the livestock market. To combat climate change, the implementation of the action encourages an environmentally-friendly approach by integrating animals’ waste management and installing solar panels system for lighting and water heating. The new, standardized livestock market will bring new job opportunities for the local community ensuring economic and social integration of women and minorities.

The overall goal of this project is creating favorable economic conditions for the Eastern Economic Region through product development, design and marketing of private sector businesses. Through this project, a Regional Marketing Center for the Eastern Region has been set up, producers/individuals and agro-entrepreneurs have been sub-granted, encouraging the replacement of foreign products with local products, and a stable supply chain has been established between local producers, processors and wholesalers and retailers.

"Culture in Action" is an 18-month project focused on improving the lives of the residents of the cross-border region between Kosovo and Macedonia, especially in the municipalities of Lipkovo (MKD) and the municipality of Viti (RKS). The overall objective of the project is to improve the quality of life for the residents of both municipalities by providing access to culture and creating networks for sustainable cultural development and the promotion of cultural heritage.

The joint action "Tourism without borders" between Municipality of Viti, Republic of Kosovo, and Municipality of Kriva Palanka, Republic of Macedonia, is focused on promoting tourism and natural heritage, considered vital for long term development of both municipalities. The main objective of the action aims improving current conditions and infrastructure in both municipalities in order to enhance and further promote tourism and natural heritage in two municipalities. As a result of the action, tourism potentials in both municipalities are enhanced and regional values further promoted.

“Enhancement of cultural and natural heritage values” action aims to bring investments and marketing into the cross-border area to promote it as a tourism destination. The action focuses on enhancing cultural and natural heritage values through conservation and restoration of an old building and establishing traditional cultural events in the cross-border area. The action led to the promotion of the area as a tourism destination, bringing in more visitors who in turn provide the area with an increased economic activity.

The project is focused on maximizing sales and profit of farmers' local fresh products in the Municipality of Gjilan and the Municipality of Kumanovo through organizing advanced green markets. Through the project the fresh product market points for farmers' local products have been advanced and improved. Moreover, branding of local products through trainings and legalizing farmers' businesses to ease sales were also part of the project. The action enabled the establishment of a network that connects farmers, fruit, vegetable and dairy processors, youth and Department of Agriculture of the Municipality of Gjilan and Kumanovo. By creating development opportunities for all target groups, the action strengthens the cooperation among cross-border farmers and ethnic groups in order to enhance productivity and income generation, as well as increases awareness of local consumers and enables sustainable economic development of both municipalities through revitalizing fresh product markets as a direct result of the action’s objectives.

The implementation of the action “Substantial environmental and health benefits in cross-border area” focuses in the management of solid waste and wastewater as well as improved sewage system. The action's main beneficiaries are citizens of the south area of Municipality of Gjilan and citizens from the center are of the Municipality of Kumanovo. The implementation of the action produces results that help the cross-border area provide better environment protection and conditions, also providing a better public health for the local population.

The overall objective of the project is to create gainful employment and income generation for youth in East Economic Region through agriculture and agribusiness, aiming to promote the field of education and employment in a sustainable way. The project focuses on providing knowledge and skills by increasing entrepreneurship and creating self-employment of young people and women in rural areas. The project activities center around vocational training, on-the-job training, self-employment and entrepreneurship.

The action aims to provide skill development, support for start-ups and existing businesses and employment opportunities for young people, especially those from disadvantaged groups to decrease the unemployment rate and further the youth’s socio-economic inclusion. The action’s overall objective – contribute to inclusion of youth and women in professional education and skills’ development in the East Economic Region Kosovo and increase their employability.

Implementation of the action “Social Hub-Gjilan" resulted in the establishment of a social hub which contributes in increasing employability and social inclusion of disadvantaged groups especially women, youth and people with disabilities. The action enhancec employment of disadvantaged groups through development of skills and knowledge required in the local labour market. Moreover, through the sub-granting scheme for social enterprises, the action aims to support sustainable job creation and self-employment for disadvantaged groups such as women, youth and PwDs.

Through this grant Resort Planet has invested in new kitchen appliances which increase the capacity of the kitchen and ensure that the restaurant meets the requirements of customers. Also, all new appliances are with A + electricity saving system which resulted in lower electricity costs of the restaurant. Investments in new equipment and increased kitchen capacity have consequently resulted in the employment of new employees.

Through this grant the company has invested in new equipment which has diversified and developed its business activities. This grant has provided support for the growth of the company by increasing the number of its customers and its involvement in the national market. New physiotherapeutic treatments provided as a result of grant implementation have ensured business competitiveness in the national market.

This project implemented by KUTIA aims to contribute to increasing the capacities of the company and diversifying the services offered. Capacity building of the company automatically means hiring of new employees who will be offered the opportunity of skill development through trainings. Additionally, the company will be certified with two ISO standards: ISO 9001:2015 and ISO/IEC27001:2013. Certification with these standards will bring the company benefits such as improving the quality of products and services, reduced likelihood of mistakes and attraction of new clients, protecting information from getting into unauthorized hands, ensuring information is accurate and can only be modified by authorized users, assessing the risks and mitigating the impact of a breach. The project “Youth in Agribusiness” aims to increase employment opportunities and create income generation for youth through agribusiness, aiming to foster area of education and employment in a sustainable manner. The project targets 18–23-year-olds (graduate students and youth transition into the job market) in East region, respectively municipalities of Gjilan, Viti, Kamenica, Partes and Ranilug, by targeting rural villages. The goal of the project is to enable youth, especially young women/ girls from all ethnic backgrounds to generate income through self- employment and employment in the agribusiness sector. The project goal is achieved through three components: skills and capacity development, agribusiness development - social networking and marketing, youth networking in business.
